Immigration Paralegal
Isabella has been a immigration paralegal at the Law Office of Maria Hajar since early 2022. Isabella holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from the University of Illinois. Isabella was a Foreign Language and Area Studies (FLAS) Fellow and Fulbright Awardee in Tajikistan. She was also a researcher for the Cline Center for Advanced Social Research and the New American Welcome Center in Illinois.
Isabella has experience preparing forms for immigrant and nonimmigrant petitions, writing affidavits, making court requests, and supporting attorneys and clients. She is fluent in Spanish and is conversational in Portuguese.
Isabella is the daughter of a Cuban refugee and is driven by her passion for helping families and individuals be in the U.S. Isabella is an avid baseball fan. She enjoys bouldering, film photography, and spending time with family. Isabella has visited and lived in numerous countries, including Ecuador, Brazil, Tajikistan, and Columbia.
